Well, It is nap time and I am trying to figure out what to do with my time, it is limited but I do not know how much of this "quite time" I have. These things are harder to gauge that you might imagine. I do not want to waste time folding clothes because that is an activity that I can do while Owen is running around upstairs. I should also send out Thank yous to many of our friends and family for Owen's birthday wishes BUT I can do that and have Owen color a picture while I write SO, I thought the best use of my time would be to sit down and fill you all in on what is going on here...at The Redwine's.
First of all, I must say...Where has the Summer Gone? It has been over a month since I have blogged...I love reading everyone else's but I do not have time to sit down and do it myself.
So here goes, I hope you are able to follow along while I ramble about the last month! Mike and I celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary at the end of August! We were able to get away for a few nights while the boys spent time with their grandparents. I know everyone had a good time visiting and Mike and I enjoyed sleeping in and dining without asking for two highchairs, crayons and some crackers...while standing there with half of the house stuffed in two bags that I display on each arm to balance my body while I am holding one or both of the boys!
I am not even sure if the restaurant that we went to even had highchairs!
Just a few days later Owen started school. Yes, he is going to "weekday" school that is the PC term for Mother's morning out. He is going 3 days a week and loves every minute of it...he will let go of my hand and run to his class room AND HE DOES NOT EVEN LOOK BACK! But it makes me feel good! As some of you know we have had a "situation" with biting ...no episodes SO FAR!! Thank you, Lord!
And two days after school started Owen Turned Two! He had a great birthday with a visit from his Grandmamma and dinner with his cousins Mia and Nick, and the group that we call the "family dinner" gang!
Yes, our baby is now a Big Boy and it trying to learn how to say it! He is starting to put his words together and it is amazing to me what he remembers.
Some of his cutest lines are:
Da,(long pause)at work.
Nina, at work, he is asking me about my sister Christina.
Matt, at work.
Dirk, at work.
Nat, at baball, which means football and is different from Baseball. Anytime it rains he asks me about Nat...I think he thinks that Nat stays outside a lot.
And he goes through this list of people every morning when he wakes up!
Dast my momma's, is my favorite!!! And of course, Georgia is a pretty clear sounding word, even Ms. Carol who thinks that Auburn is God's country, can even understand when he says GEORGIA!
Our baby Dalton, and who I call my "chuck of Love" had his 6 month well visit!
With a name like "chuck of Love" you probably can guess that he is not small by any means! Dalton is weighting in at a solid 20 LBS...95% for his age, and he height is also at 95% for his age. He is just starting to sit up and he starting rolling over and over (that is new this week) so we will be on the move...maybe I will be able to lose the last few "chucks of Love" that Dalton left me with! LOL
But of course he is a sweet baby, and loves to smile and laugh...especially at his brother. Dalton just loves watch Owen and now that he is able to sit close to him he loves to hold his hand. Owen loves entertaining Dalton as much as he likes to watch him...If Dalton screams or makes a noise, Owen does it right back at him...of course that makes for a long afternoon for momma but, like the song says, YOU'RE GOIN MISS IT. So I just smile and scream too!!!
Well, this is a latest in our world! I promise to get better at posting more frequently, it may be when they got to college but I promise I will do it!! HAHA

Looks like your family is doing well! We need to get our boys together soon! I'm up and about finally, so let me know if you have some free time to meet at the park or to stop by and let the boys play and the mommy's chat!
