Christmas Morning 2008

 

Here is a glimpse of our Christmas Morning..there are not any photos of Dalton waking up at 3:15 AM , and Mike and I having coffee at 4:30 AM wondering if we should go backk to bed or get Owen up...well Owen was up by 5 AM so needless to say, Our Christmas got an early start! We opened our gifts from Santa and then we were in the car to Grandmama' house..by 10 AM, Great-Grandma Redwine's by 1:00 and then to Aunt Dorthy's by 6 PM! As most of you, we crashed Christmas night, and then hit the road again...back to Grandmama's at 9 AM for Breakfast and then to Grandma Sue's for Christmas at 3:00PM! We had a WONDERFUL and BUSY Christmas and we are glad to be at home with all of our new toys!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well!

Our Friend Ben is getting BIG!!!

 

I know several of you have ask about how Ben is doing, he is our friend that was born 6 1/2 weeks early...and he was a little guy! Well, as you can see, he is getting BIGGER and Owen loves to hold him....and of course kiss him!

Owen's trip to Lights of Lanier

 
 
 
 
Owen had a blast at the Lights of Lanier...and he too sat on Santa's lap we just don't have any pictures, just video!
But Santa did give him the candy cane that you see him with. After the visit to Santa's workshop Owen decided to have a little fun on the rides! I think the rides were a bigger hit than Santa!

This is Dalton's first Christmas and he has made his very first trip to visit Santa. I am glad to say there were no TEARS, no smiles either and for those of you who know Dalton you know the boy likes to smile! I am not sure that he was very happy with Santa's elves, espcially the one who took him from his mommy to put him on Santa's lap. He did it and he was glad when it was over!!!
As you can see, he did enjoy the trip around Santa'a workshop and then was he was a little tired he just snuggled up and went to sleep! Thank goodness for daddy's warm arms and coat!

Well, I am like most of you and I have been taking pictures of the kids...wanting to get the "Perfect" picture for our 2008 Christmas card...and as most of you know, there will be a lot to chose from so I thought I would share a few! I hope everyone is getting into the Holiday Spirit!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

 

We had Thanksgiving Dinner at Owen's school today! It was a very yummy meal...and we had fun seeing our friends!!

Dalton wants to be one of the BIG kids!

 

As you can see, Dalton is growing up and he loves being with the BIG kids! This is Kirsten and Owen watching a movie, and reading a book at the same time! Dalton kept trying to get up on the couch with them and when I finally let him sit with them...well, his smile says it all! I am glad to report that Owen and Kirsten were glad to have him with them..they are both very good with him!

Well, I guess I will take a moment to catch you up on his milestones.
Dalton turned 8 months and has 7 teeth and more are coming in!!! He was very glad to give up the babyfood and to get started on solids, he loves to eat whatever Owen eats. He started sitting from a crawl position and starting and clapping about two weeks ago! He is so excited about his new found freedom.
He has been attempting to pull up a few times but has not made it up YET....that is be coming soon enough!

Here are a few pictures of us and our friends....if you have ever been to our house you know that our neighborhood is full of hills...great for working the buns but not good for our little goblins!! Mike pulls the trailer around and we have a hay ride during our Trick or Treating adventure!

We had a great time, Owen was a little nervous at the first house BUT once he realized what was going on he had a blast! He was pulling me from house to house. Dalton looked as cute as a "Monkey" he hung out for a while and then went home with Grandma to pass out candy to the other kids!!!
As you can see, Mike and I dressed up too...we had a Halloween Party after our night of Trick or Treating.

Mike and I hosted our 9th annual Pumpkin Carving Party...and of course when we moved to Laurel Park it was stepped up a notch with what was the 4th annual Pig Roast by Todd Elliott, and Butt Rub by Krista!!! (Ha, Ha I couldn't resist). I have to say that was the best piggy yet! Thank you everyone for your help and for all of the wonderful goodies that we had!

I have high hopes for next year, we may even have T-shirts made!!!
